Abstract
Process for the production of known 2-oximinoacetamido-3-cephem-4-carboxylic derivatives comprising acylation of 7-amino-3-cephem-4-carboxylic acid derivatives with novel 2-oximinoacetic acid thio esters, as well as such thioesters and their production.

A syn-isomer of formula IIa ##STR12## where R.sub.1 is hydrogen, C1-4 alkyl, phen-C1-4 alkyl, carb (C1-4) alkoxy (C1-4)alkyl, C2-5 alkanoyl, C1-4 alkoxycarbonyl, or carboxy-C1-4 alkyl and ##STR13## is 2-benzthiazolyl.
A syn-isomer of formula IIa ##STR14## where R.sub.1 is (C.sub.1-4) alkyl, benzyl, carb (C.sub.1-4) alkoxymethyl or (C.sub.1-4) alkoxycarbonyl, and ##STR15## is 2-benzthiazoyl.
