Abstract
A fiber reinforced wire set along the edge of an open combustion chamber, which is provided in the piston head of a piston, is remelted with the edge of the combustion chamber, and solidified in order to reinforce the edge of the combustion chamber.

A piston of aluminum alloy for internal combustion engines in which a ceramic-fiber reinforced wire set along the edge of an open combustion chamber, which is provided in the piston, is remelted by high-energy radiation with the edge of the combustion chamber, and solidified in order to reinforce the edge of the combustion chamber.
