An electrophotographic photosensitive member has a photosensitive layer on a conductive substrate, wherein a surface layer of said photosensitive member contains solid lubricant and silicone oil.

An electrophotographic photosensitive member having a conductive substrate;
- a photosensitive layer on said conductive substrate and a surface layer of said photosensitive member containing solid lubricant and silicone oil, wherein the content of the silicone oil is from 10 to 1000 ppm based on the total solids of the surface layer.
