Abstract
Liquid enzyme preparations comprising at least one anhydrous organic liquid as a vehicle for one or more enzymes and methods for using such preparations e.g. in beamhouse operations in the commercial production of leather.

A liquid enzyme formulation comprising at least one enzyme dispersed in a substantially anhydrous 5- or 6-membered cyclic carbonate ester as a liquid carrier vehicle therefor together with from 0.1 to 6 percent, by weight of said organic liquid, of a finely divided solid inroganic dispersing agent.
