Abstract
This invention relates to synergistic antimicrobial and biocidal compositions comprising 5-chloro-2-methyl-4-isothiazolin-3-one and 2-methyl-4-isothiazolin-3-one and one or more commercial biocides for more effective, and broader control of microorganisms in various industrial systems.

A microbicidal composition comprising a synergistic mixture the first component of which is a 3:1 ratio of 5-chloro-2-methyl-4-isothiazolin-3-one and 2-methyl-4-isothiazolin-3-one and the second component of which is dodecylamine wherein the ratio of first component to second component is in the range of from about 8:1 to about 1:200.
