Abstract
New mixtures comprising difluorotetrachloroethane and petroleum ethers are described for use, inter alia, as solvents, particularly for waxes.

A method of removing a waxy material from an article comprising the step of contacting said article with a mixture of from 5 to 90 wt. % difluorotetrachloroethane and from 10 to 95 wt. % of a petroleum ether.
