Polyolefinic succinimide polyamine alkyl acetoacetate adducts as dispersants in fuel oil compositions

An oleaginuous composition comprising:

• a fuel oil;
• detergent material;
• and
• a dispersant effective amount of mixtures of adducts having the formulae:
• ##STR63## wherein Z.sup.1 and Z.sup.3 are the same or different and are moieties of the formula:
• ##STR64## Z.sup.2 is a moiety of the formula:
• ##STR65## wherein R.sup.2, R.sup.3 and R.sup.4 are the same or different and are alkylene of from about 1 to 6 carbon atoms, m is an integer of from 1 to 5, each A' is independently selected from the group consisting of H, A and the moiety:
• ##STR66## wherein A" is H or A, R.sup.3 is as defined above, R.sup.6 is alkylene of from 1 to 6 carbon atoms, T.sup.1 and T.sup.2 are the same or different and each comprises a member selected from the group consisting of moieties of the formula:
• ##STR67## wherein B' is substituted or unsubstituted alkyl or aryl-containing group, n.sup.1 is an integer of 0 to 10, n.sup.2 is an integer of 0 to 10, n.sup.3 is an integer of from 0 to 10, n.sup.4 is an integer of from 0 to 10, with the provisos that the sum of n.sup.1, n.sup.2 , n.sup.3 and n.sup.4 is from 3to 10 and the sum of n.sup.1, n.sup.3 and n.sup.4 is at least 1, wherein R.sup.1 and R.sup.5 are independently an olefin polymer having a number average molecular weight (M.sub.n) between about 650 and 3,500, and wherein A comprises a tautomeric substituent of the formula:
• ##STR68## wherein R.sup.10 is substituted or unsubstituted alkyl or aryl containing groups, with the proviso that at least one of the A' or A" groups comprises said tautomeric substituent, wherein at least about 95% of T.sup.1 and T.sup.2 groups in adduct dispersants comprise said succinimide moiety of the formula:
