Abstract
A novel chromone derivative having a strong antitumor activity of the general formula: ##STR1## wherein R.sup.1 is an unsaturated alkyl or cycloalkyl group having 3 to 7 carbon atoms; R.sup.2 is hydrogen atom or a halogen atom; R.sup.3 is hydrogen atom or a lower alkyl group; and X is carboxyl group, or its salt, ester or amide.

A compound of the formula ##STR6## wherein R.sup.1 is cycloalkenyl having 3 to 7 carbon atoms;
- R.sup.2 is hydrogen or halogen;
- R.sup.3 is hydrogen or lower alkyl;
- and X is carboxyl, or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt, ester or amide thereof.
A pharmaceutical composition having antitumor activity which comprises as an active ingredient an effective amount of a compound of the formula:
- ##STR7## wherein R.sup.1 is cycloalkenyl having 3 to 7 carbon atoms;
- R.sup.2 is hydrogen or halogen;
- R.sup.3 is hydrogen or a lower alkyl;
- and X is carboxyl group, or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt, ester or amide thereof.
