Abstract
An image processing apparatus includes a CCD image reader for reading image data of an original image, histogram calculators for correcting a density of the image data output from the CCD image reader, a digitizer for designating an arbitrary area of the original image, and selectors for selecting different density correction modes for an area designated by the digitizer and a remaining area. The histogram calculators have photograph and character area designation modes.
Claims24
An image processing apparatus comprising:
- reading means for reading image data of an original image;
- correcting means for correcting a density of the image data output from said reading means, said correcting means having a plurality of density correction modes;
- designating means for designating an arbitrary area of the original image;
- and
- selecting means for selecting different density correction modes for an area designated by said designating means and a remaining area.
An image processing apparatus comprising:
- reading means for reading image data of an original image;
- correcting means for correcting a density of image data output from said reading means;
- and
- designating means for designating an arbitrary area of the original image;
- wherein said correcting means detects the density of a first area designated by said designating means and corrects the density of a second area designated by said designating means independently of the first area, on the basis of a detected density.
An image processing apparatus comprising:
- reading means for reading image data of an original image;
- calculating means for calculating a density histogram in accordance with an output from said reading means and for counting an accumulation frequency thereof after limit values are given to the density histogram and the histogram is shaped;
- and
- correcting means for converting a density of the image data read by said reading means on the basis of the calculation result of said calculating means.
An image processing apparatus comprising:
- reading means for reading image data of an original image;
- correcting means for correcting a density of the image data output from said reading means, said correcting means having a plurality of density correction modes;
- designating means for designating a plurality of arbitrary areas of the original image;
- and
- selecting means for selecting a proper one of the density correction modes for every area designated by said designating means.
An image processing apparatus comprising:
- reading means for reading image data of an original image;
- correcting means for correcting a density of image data output from said reading means;
- and
- designating means for designating an arbitrary area of the original image,
- wherein said correcting means detects the density of the arbitrary area designated by said designated means and corrects the density of an area other than the arbitrary area of the original image based on the detected density.
