Claims20
A method for preventing or reducing deep vein thrombosis, pulmonary embolism or both in a mammalian species, which comprises administering to a mammalian species in need of such treatment an effective amount of a thromboxane A.sub.2 receptor antagonist and an effective amount of heparin, wherein the thromboxane A.sub.2 receptor antagonist is employed in a weight ratio to the heparin of within the range of from about 0.1:1 to about 50:1.
A pharmaceutical combination for preventing or reducing deep vein thrombosis, pulmonary embolism or both, comprising a thromboxane A.sub.2 receptor antagonist and heparin, employed in a weight ratio to each other of within the range of from about 0.1:I to about 50:1.
