Abstract
Described is 3-(2-bornyloxy)-2-methyl-1-propanol defined according to the chemical structure: ##STR1## and organoleptic uses thereof in augmenting or enhancing the aroma of perfume compositions, colognes and perfumed articles including but not limited to solid or liquid anionic, cationic, nonionic or zwitterionic detergents, fabric softener compositions, fabric softener articles, perfumed polymers, cosmetic powders and hair preparations.

The 3-(2-bornyloxy)-2-methyl-1-propanol having the structure:

A process for augmenting or enhancing the aroma of a solid or liquid anionic, cationic, nonionic or zwitterionic detergent comprising the step of adding to said solid or liquid anionic, cationic, nonionic or zwitterionic detergent, an aroma augmenting or enhancing quantity of 3-(2-bornyloxy)-2-methyl-1-propanol having the structure:

A perfumed polymer comprising a polymer and intimately admixed therewith the 3-(2-bornyloxy)-2-methyl-1-propanol having the structure:
