Abstract
An electronic weighing apparatus is disclosed which detects weight of a subject by variation in capacitance, converts an oscillating output of an oscillating circuit corresponding to said variation in capacitance and displays the converted value on a display. In this apparatus, a solar battery and a supplementary cell are employed as a power source and on-off control of electric power supply from the supplementary battery to each circuit of the apparatus is effected by the output voltage of the solar battery.
Claims29
An electronic weighing apparatus for weighing a subject comprising:
- a weighing circuit which detects the weight of the subject by variation in capacitance, converts an oscillating output of an oscillating circuit corresponding to said variation into weight and displays the converted value on a display;
- power supply means for supplying a driving current to said weighing circuit, said power supply means including a solar battery and a supplementary battery;
- and
- switching means for effecting on-off control of electric current supply from said supplementary battery to said weighing circuit in accordance with the output voltage of said solar battery.
An electronic weighing apparatus for weighing a subject, comprising:
- a weighing circuit which detects the weight of the subject by variation in capacitance, converts an output of an oscillating circuit corresponding to said variation in capacitance into weight and displays the converted value on a display section;
- power supply means for supplying driving current to said weighing circuit which includes a solar battery and a supplementary battery connected substantially in parallel;
- and
- switching means inserted in an electric current path from said supplementary battery to said weighing circuit, on-off control of said switching means being effected by the output voltage of said solar battery.
