Abstract
Acidic liquids, such as galvanic electrolyte solutions for metal electroplating, contain a surfactant and a foam inhibiting agent which is a perfluoroalkyl-containing ester of phosphoric acid.

In an acidic liquid a surfactant and a foam inhibiting agent, the improvement comprises said foam inhibiting agent being perfluoroalkyl-containing esters of phosphoric acid.
A foam inhibiting composition which comprises a surfactant and a perfluoroalkyl-containing ester of phosphoric acid.
