Abstract
Disclosed are novel cyclic phosphite compounds having the formula ##STR1## wherein R.sup.1 is hydrogen, alkyl or aralkyl; R.sup.2 is hydrogen or alkyl; R.sup.3 is alkyl or aryl; and R.sup.4 and R.sup.5 each is alkyl. Also disclosed are polyolefin compositions stabilized with one or more of the above compounds.
Claims6
A stabilized composition comprising a poly-.alpha.-olefin susceptible to degradation upon exposure to heat and/or radiation containing a stabilizing amount of a compound having the formula ##STR6## wherein R.sup.1 is hydrogen, alkyl or aralkyl;
- R.sup.2 is hydrogen or alkyl;
- R.sup.3 is alkyl or aryl;
- and
- R.sup.4 and R.sup.5 each is alkyl.
A compound having the formula ##STR8## wherein R.sup.1 is hydrogen, alkyl or aralkyl;
- R.sup.2 is hydrogen or alkyl;
- R.sup.3 is alkyl or aryl;
- and
- R.sup.4 and R.sup.5 each is alkyl.
A compound having the formula ##STR9## wherein R.sup.2 and R.sup.3 are methyl or ethyl.
