Abstract
A container for use with a closure and a glass container having an access opening for a closure. The container was a crush strength increasing polyparaxylylene coating on at least one side of the glass container at a thickness of at least 0.1 microns to give at least 40% increased crush strength.

A container for use with a closure, comprising a glass container having an access opening for a closure and a crush strength increasing polyparaxylylene coating on at least one side of said glass container at a thickness of at least 0.1 to about 5 microns.
A container for use with a closure, comprising a glass container having an access opening for a closure and a crush strength increasing polyparaxylylene coating on the inside of glass container in a thickness of from about 0.5 to about 5 microns.
