Abstract
In a nonaqueous electrolyte cell comprising a positive electrode, a negative electrode, and a nonaqueous electrolyte containing an alkali metal ion, an electrolytic manganese dioxide which is prepared by subjecting a manganese dioxide-forming electrolytic solution to electrolysis while introducing a gas therein is used as an active material for the positive electrode.

In a nonaqueous electrolyte cell comprising a positive electrode, a negative electrode, and a nonaqueous electrolyte containing an alkali metal ion,
- the improvement wherein an electrolytic manganese dioxide which is prepared by subjecting a manganese dioxide-forming electrolytic solution to electrolysis while introducing a gas therein is used as an active material for the positive electrode.
