Electrophotographic photosensitive material containing thiophene compound

An electrophotographic photosensitive material comprising a photosensitive layer containing at least one thiophene compound of the general formula (III):

• ##STR36## wherein R.sub.31 and R.sub.32 each independently is a hydrogen or a halogen atom or an alkyl group, an alkoxy group, a nitro group or an amino group.

An electrophotographic photosensitive material comprising a photosensitive layer containing at least one thiophene compound of the general formula IV:

• ##STR37## wherein R.sub.41, R.sub.42, R.sup.43 and R.sup.44 each represents a hydrogen atom, a halogen atom, an alkyl group, an alkoxy group, an allyl group, a nitro group or an amino group.

An electrophotographic material for electrophoto-graphy comprising a photosensitive layer containing at least one thiophene compound of the general formula (V):

• ##STR38## wherein R.sub.51 to R.sub.56 each represents a hydrogen or halogen atom or a hydroxy group, a hydroxyalkyl group, an alkyl group, an alkoxy group, an allyl group, a vinyl group, an acyl group, a formylalkyl group, an acyloxy group, an alkoxycabonyl group, an aryl group, a cyano group, a nitro group, an amino group, an alkylamino group or an arylamino group.
