Abstract
A heat-recoverable article suitable for enclosing a telecommunications cable splice comprises a recoverable fabric cover and a strengthening layer laminated to a surface of the fabric cover.

A heat recoverable article which comprises:
- (a) a recoverable fabric cover;
- and
- (b) a strengthening layer laminated to a surface of the fabric cover said strengthening layer includes at least one layer of a material impervious to air.
