New copolymers of alpha-cyanoacrylates and acrylates, their preparation and their use

Copolymers obtained by the copolymerization of .alpha.-cyanoacrylates corresponding to formula (I) ##STR4## wherein R.sup.1 stands for C.sub.1 -C.sub.8 alkyl which may be preferably substituted with a group corresponding to formula (III)

• --(R.sup.4 O).sub.n --R.sup.5
• wherein
• R.sup.4 stands for C.sub.1 -C.sub.8 -alkylene,
• R.sup.5 stands for hydrogen or a C.sub.1 -C.sub.8 -alkyl and
• n stands for an integer with a value from 1 to 10, preferably an integer with a value from 1 to 4,
• with acrylates corresponding to Formula (II) ##STR5## wherein R.sup.2 denotes hydrogen or C.sub.1 -C.sub.6 alkyl and
• R.sup.3 denotes C.sub.1 -C.sub.8 alkyl
• which may be preferably substituted with a group corresponding to Formula (III)
• --(R.sup.4 O).sub.n --R.sup.5
• wherein
• R.sup.4 stands for C.sub.1 -C.sub.8 alkylene,
• R.sup.5 stands for hydrogen or a C.sub.1 -C.sub.8 alkyl and
• n stands for an integer with a value from 1 to 10, preferably an integer with a value from 1 to 4.
