Abstract
Agents for the treatment of arthroses contain peptides soluble in cold water, more specifically those from the group of hydrolyzed collagens. The peptides soluble in cold water are used for the treatment of arthroses and for the preparation of agents for the treatment of arthroses, respectively.

A composition for the treatment of arthroses comprising a peptide soluble in cold water having an average molecular weight of from about 10,000 to 80,000.
A method for the treatment of arthroses comprising administering to a patient suffering therefrom a composition which comprises an effective amount of a hydrolyzed collagen, said hydrolyzed collagen being soluble in cold water.
