Claims42
A composition of matter which is the amine terminated reaction product obtained from a secondary aromatic monoamine with a beta-thiodialkanol wherein the equivalents of the beta-thiodialkanol are greater than the equivalents of the secondary monoamine.
A composition produced by the reaction of a primary or a secondary amine, or mixtures thereof, provided the amines contain at least one straight or branched aliphatic group of 4 or more carbon atoms, with a beta-thiodialkanol wherein the equivalents of the beta-thiodialkanol are greater than the equivalents of the amine.
A composition which is the amine terminated reaction product of an aliphatic ring-substituted aromatic amine with a beta-thiodialkanol wherein the equivalents of the beta-thiodialkanol are greater than the equivalents of the amine.
A composition of the formula
- R.sup.1 R.sup.2 N(AS.sub.x AO).sub.y AS.sub.x ANR.sup.3 R.sup.4
- wherein A is an alkylene group, x is at least one, y is 1 or greater, R.sup.1, R.sup.2, R.sup.3 and R.sup.4 are such that R.sup.1 and R.sup.3 are straight or branched aliphatic groups of 4 or more carbon atoms, or R.sup.1 and R.sup.2 are both aromatic groups and R.sup.3 and R.sup.4 are hydrocarbyl groups, or at least one of R.sup.1 and R.sup.3 is an aromatic group and at least one of R.sup.2 and R.sup.4 is an aliphatic group of 4 or more carbon atoms;
- with the proviso that any of the remaining member of R.sup.1, R.sup.2, R.sup.3 or R.sup.4 groups may be hydrogen or hydrocarbyl.
