Abstract
A method of producing .alpha.-dihydropolyprenyl monophosphates from .alpha.-dihydropolyprenols through .alpha.-dihydropolyprenyl dichlorophosphates in good yield and with ease is provided. A method of producing .alpha.-dihydropolyprenyl dichlorophosphates which are intermediate compounds useful for the first-mentioned method is also provided.

A method of producing an .alpha.-dihydropolyprenyl monophosphate of the general formula ##STR15## wherein m is an integer of 4 to 22 which comprises hydrolyzing an .alpha.-dihydropolyprenyl dichlorophosphate of the general formula ##STR16## wherein m is as defined above with an alkali metal hydroxide or alkaline earth metal hydroxide in an ethereal solvent.
