Narrow MWD alpha-olefin copolymers

Copolymer of ethylene and at least one other alpha-olefin monomer, said copolymer having an average ethylene composition and comprising intramolecularly heterogeneous copolymer chains wherein at least two portions of an individual intramolecularly heterogeneous chain, each portion comprising at least 5 weight percent of said chain, differ in composition from one another by at least 5 weight percent ethylene, wherein said copolymer has an intermolecular compositional dispersity such that 95 weight percent of said copolymer chains have a composition 15 weight percent or less different from said average ethylene composition, and wherein said copolymer has a weight average molecular weight of from about 2,000 to about 1,000,000, and a MWD characterized by at least one of a ratio of MHD w/MHD n of less than 2 and a ratio of MHD z/MHD w of less than 1.8, said copolymer having been produced from a polymerization reaction mixture which at initiation of polymerization comprises catalyst, ethylene and said at least one other alpha-olefin monomer.
