Abstract
Cement compositions having better and longer lasting workability have been made by adding to said compositions a polymer or copolymer of a hydroxyalkyl(meth)acrylate, e.g. hydroxyethyl acrylate or methacrylate. Further improvement is achieved by adding a water reducer, e.g. sulfonated polystyrene, and an antifoam agent, e.g. a polyalkylenepolyol.
Claims26
A cement composition having improved workability comprising cement and a polymer of a hydroxyalkyl (meth)acrylate or a copolymer thereof with another hydroxyalkyl (meth)acrylate or with sulfoethyl methacrylate.
A cement composition having improved workability comprising cement, an antifoam agent, a water reducing agent and a copolymer of hydroxyethyl acrylate and 2-sulfoethyl methacrylate.
A process for improving the workability of a cement composition comprising adding to said cement composition a polymer of a hydroxyalkyl (meth)acrylate or copolymer thereof with another hydroxyalkyl (meth)acrylate.
A process for improving the workability of a cement composition comprising adding to said cement composition a copolymer of hydroxyethyl acrylate and 2-sulfoethyl methacrylate.
