Certain formulations of pseudomonic acids and their salts have good antifungal activity.

A method for the treatment of a fungal infection, which comprises applying topically to a patient an antifungally effective amount of a topical pharmaceutical or veterinary composition comprising a pseudomonic acid or a non-toxic pharmaceutically or veterinary acceptable salt thereof, and a pharmaceutically or veterinary acceptable carrier, the pseudomonic acid or salt thereof being present in an amount that, in use, corresponds to at least the saturation solubility of the pseudomonic acid or salt in the carrier at ambient temperature.
