Abstract
N-Silylalkylamides are useful as adhesion promoters in room temperature vulcanizable compositions comprising polyalkoxysilyl-terminated polydiorganosiloxanes. The formamides, which are preferred, are novel compounds.
Claims4
An N-silylalkylformamide compound having the formula ##STR8## wherein each R.sup.2 is independently hydrogen or a primary or secondary alkyl radical containing from 1 to about 4 carbon atoms, R.sup.3 is an alkyl radical containing from 1 to about 8 carbon atoms and n is from 2 to about 8.
A compound according to claim 19 wherein R.sup.5-7, R.sup.9 and R.sup.11 are methyl, R.sup.8 is n-butyl and R.sup.10 is hydrogen.
Dependencies are inferred from the claim text.
