Abstract
A flame-resistant composition comprising a blend of (I) polyamide, (II) a brominated polystyrene and (III) a copolymer of an aromatic vinyl compound and an .alpha., .beta.-unsaturated dicarboxylic acid anhydride, wherein the .alpha., .beta.-unsaturated dicarboxylic acid anhydride component of the copolymer is present in an amount of 0.06-0.75 wt % based on the total weight of (I), (II) and (III).

A flame-resistant polyamide resin composition comprising a blend of
- (I) a polyamide,
- (II) a brominated polystyrene, and
- (III) a copolymer comprising an aromatic vinyl compound and an .alpha.,.beta.-unsaturated dicarboxylic acid anhydride;
- wherein the .alpha.,.beta.-unsaturated dicarboxylic acid anhydride component of the copolymer is present in an amount of 0.06-0.75 wt% based on the total weight of (I), (II), and (III).
