Quinolylglycinamide derivatives, the process for preparation thereof and their therapeutic application as psychotropic drugs

A quinolylglycinamide compound having a quinoline nucleus, said compound having the formula:

• ##STR27## in which R.sub.1 and R.sub.2 are each, independently of each other, hydrogen or a lower alkyl group, or R.sub.1 is an alkyl group and R.sub.2 is a cyclohexyl group, a phenyl group, a benzyl group, a chlorophenyl group, or R.sub.1 and R.sub.2 form with the nitrogen atom to which they are directly attached a pyrrolidino, a piperidino or a homopiperidino, all of which can be substituted with a C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 alkyl;
• R.sub.3 is hydrogen, a hydroxyl group, a C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 alkyl or alkoxy group, a phenoxy group, a benzyloxy group, a phenoxy group, or a benzyloxy group, or R.sub.3 denotes a group (--NH--R.sub.5), in which R.sub.5 is hydrogen, a lower alkyl or phenyl group;
• R.sub.4 is hydrogen or a lower alkyl group;
• and
• X is is hydrogen, a halogen, a C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 alkyl group, a cyclohexyl group, a C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 alkoxy group, a nitro group, a trifluoromethyl group, or a methylthio group;
• or the addition salts of said quinolylglycinamide compound with pharmaceutically acceptable inorganic or organic acids or, when R.sub.3 denotes OH, the salts with pharmaceutically acceptable alkali metal bases or organic bases.
