Abstract
A novel method for purifying a sugar phosphate or its salt, in which a sugar-containing mixture of a sugar phosphate or its salt and phosphoric acid or its salt is subjected to electrodialysis to remove the phosphoric acid or its salt from the mixture. According to this method, the phosphoric acid or its salt can be readily obtained in a reusable form. The method is thus quite advantageous in view of the economy.
Claims6
A method for purifying a feed material selected from the group consisting of glucose-1-phosphate, glucose-6-phosphate, fructose-6-phosphate, glucose-1,6-diphosphate, fructose-1,6-diphosphate and a sodium or potassium salt thereof and mixtures thereof;
- said feed material further containing as an impurity phosphoric acid, an alkali metal salt of phosphoric acid, or a mixture thereof, which comprises electrodialyzing said mixture in the presence of a mono- or polysaccharide in an amount of at least 0.5 g/l.
