Abstract
Apparatus is disclosed for an artificial fishing lure and, more particularly, to such a lure in which various characteristics of the lure, such as color, operating depth and/or scent, can be varied by a user.

An artificial fishing lure comprising:
- a body portion;
- at least one fishing hook attached to said body portion;
- and
- a liquid crystal material disposed on a surface of said body portion, wherein said liquid crystal material changes color in response to a variation in temperature of said liquid crystal material or a variation in electrical current flowing through said liquid crystal material.
