Abstract
Thiadiazole guanidines of formula 1 ##STR1## wherein R is hydrogen or C.sub.1-4 alkyl and their non-toxic salts. Processes for their preparation and pharmaceutical compositions thereof. The compounds exhibit anti-convulsant activity and are indicated for use in the treatment of epilepsy.

A compound of the formula ##STR4## wherein R is hydrogen or alkyl C.sub.1-4 and its non-toxic salts.
2-Guanidino-5-[2-(trifluoromethyl)phenyl]-1,3,4-thiadiazole.
2-(3-Methylguanidino)-5-[2-(trifluoromethyl)phenyl]-1,3,4-thiadiazole.
