Abstract
Novel compounds of the general formula I ##STR1## where X and Y independently of one another are each carboxyl, a carboxylic ester group, cyano or an unsubstituted or substituted carbamyl or carboxylic hydrazide group and X and Y together form a radical of the formula ##STR2## where R.sup.1 is hydrogen or a radical of a primary amine and R.sup.2 and R.sup.3 are each hydrogen or unsubstituted or substituted alkyl, cycloalkyl or aryl, are very useful as diazo components.

A compound of the formula:
- ##STR29## wherein X and Y independently are each a carboxyl group, a cyano group, a carboxylic ester group selected from the group consisting of C.sub.1 -C.sub.12 -alkoxycarbonyl, cyclohexyloxycarbonyl, allyloxycarbonyl, 2-(C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkoxy)-ethoxycarbonyl, 3-(C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkoxy)propoxycarbonyl, 2-phenoxyethoxycarbonyl, 3-phenoxypropoxycarbonyl, phenylmethoxycarbonyl, 2-phenylethoxycarbonyl, phenoxycarbonyl which is unsubstituted or substituted by chlorine, bromine, nitro or cyano;
- C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkylphenoxycarbonyl, dimethylphenoxycarbonyl or a trimethylphenoxycarbonyl group;
- a carbamyl group which is unsubstituted or substituted and which is selected from the group consisting of C.sub.1 -C.sub.12 -alkylcarbamyl, cyclohexylcarbamyl, allylcarbamyl, 2-(C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkoxy)-ethylcarbamyl, 3-(C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkoxy)-propylcarbamyl, 2-phenoxyethylcarbamyl, 3-phenoxypropylcarbamyl, phenylmethylcarbamyl, 2-phenylethylcarbamyl, phenylcarbamyl which is unsubstituted or substituted by chlorine, bromine, nitro or cyano;
- C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkyphenylcarbamyl, dimethylphenylcarbamyl, trimethylphenylcarbamyl, C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -dialkylcarbamyl, methycyclohexylcarbamyl, and dicyclohexylcarbamyl;
- or a carboxylic hydrazide group selected from the group consisting of:
- ##STR30## or X and Y together form a radical of the formula:
- ##STR31## wherein R.sup.1 is a group selected from the group consisting of hydrogen, C.sub.1 -C.sub.12 -alkyl, cyclohexyl, allyl, 2-(C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkoxy)ethyl, 3-(C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkoxy)-propyl, 2-phenoxyethyl, 3-phenoxypropyl, phenylmethyl, phenylethyl, phenyl which is unsubstituted or substituted by chlorine, bromine, cyano or nitro, C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkylphenyl, dimethylphenyl or trimethylphenyl and R.sup.2 and R.sup.3 are independently hydrogen or C.sub.1 -C.sub.12 -alkyl, or one of R.sup.2 and R.sup.3 is phenyl which is unsubstituted or substituted by chlorine, bromine, cyano or nitro.

A compound of the formula:
- ##STR33## wherein X is --CONHB.sup.1 and Y is di-(C.sub.1 -C.sub.12 -alkyl)-carbamyl, carboxyl, C.sub.1 -C.sub.12 -alkoxycarbonyl, phenoxycarbonyl or a radical of the formula:
- ##STR34## wherein B.sub.1 is hydrogen, phenyl or a C.sub.1 -C.sub.12 -alkyl group.
