Abstract
An artificial fur having an at least double erect pile layer structure comprising an erect pile layer of long fibers and that of short fibers. The lightness of the short fibers is lower by 0.5 or above, preferably by 2.5 or above, than that of the long fibers.

An artificial fur having an at least double layer structure comprising an erect pile layer of long fibers and an erect pile layer of short fibers, wherein the lightness of said short fibers is lower by at least 0.5 than that of said long fibers.
