Abstract
Apparatus for transmitting torque between a first flywheel and a second flywheel in the power train between the crankshaft of the engine and the input shaft of the change-speed transmission of a motor vehicle has a friction generating device which is connected in series with a first damper which, in turn, is connected in series with a second damper. A slip clutch is provided in series with the friction generating device.

Apparatus for transmission of torque between two flywheels which are rotatable relative to each other, the first of which is connectible with an output element of an engine and the second of which is connectable with an input element of a change-speed transmission in a motor vehicle, comprising a friction generating device having means for opposing rotation of the flywheels relative to each other through a predetermined angle without biasing the flywheels counter to their directions of rotation relative to each other, at least within a portion of said predetermined angle;
- and two dampers operating in series with one another and with said friction generating device.
