Abstract
A class of pillared interlayered clay molecular sieves with large pore size were prepared by cross-linking the regularly interstratified mineral clay. Wherein the cross-linked rectorites possess an extraordinary thermal and hydrothermal stabilities. Said class of pillared interlayered clay molecular sieves are potential commercial catalysts for carbonium-ion type reactions, adsorbents and catalyst carriers.
Claims18
A class of pillared interlayered clay molecular sieves consisting of the unit layers which is actually the non-swelling component in the regularly interstratified mineral clays and the pillars made of inorganic oxides inserted into the interlayers of the swelling component in said regularly interstratified mineral clay.
A process for preparing the pillared interlayered clay molecular sieves which comprises cross-linking a slurry of the regularly interstratified mineral clay with a solution of the polymeric cationic hydroxy metal complex.
