Abstract
An olefin polymerization catalyst comprising the reaction product of a metallocene complex of Group IVB, VB, VIb, and VIII of the Periodic Table and an excess of alumoxane.
Claims9
An olefin polymerization catalyst comprising the solid reaction product obtained by reacting at least one metallocene of a metal of Group IVB of the Periodic Table with an alumoxane at a ratio of 1:12 to about 1:100 on a molar basis based on the metal and aluminum.
A method for preparing an olefin polymerization catalyst comprising reacting at least one metallocene of a metal of Group IVB of the Periodic Table in a solvent in an amount sufficient to completely dissolve the metallocene with an alumoxane in a solvent in an amount sufficient to completely dissolve the alumoxane at a ratio of 1:12 to about 1:100 on a molar basis on the metal and aluminum.
An alumoxane, metallocene reaction product wherein the ratio of aluminum to metal is in the range of 12:1 to 100:1 and the metal is a Group IVB metal.
