Abstract
Polyfunctional cationically polymerizable styryloxy compound of the formula ##STR1## where R.sup.1 and R.sup.2 are H, or one of R.sup.1 and R.sup.2 are H and the other is methyl; R.sup.3 and R.sup.4 are H, lower alkyl, or alkoxy if R.sup.2 is not methyl; R.sup.5 is a divalent hydrocarbon radical; G is any multivalent organic or inorganic radical free of amino, aliphatic hydroxyl, aliphatic thiol or other groups which interfere with cationic polymerization; and n is an integer of two or more.
Claims2
Cationically polymerizable compounds of the formula:
- ##STR17## wherein R.sup.1 and R.sup.2 are H or one of R.sup.1 or R.sup.2 is H and the other is methyl;
- R.sup.3 and R.sup.4 are H, lower alkyl, or alkoxy if R.sup.2 is not methyl;
- R.sup.5 is divalent hydrocarbon radical;
- n is an integer of at least 2 and G is a n-valent organic radical of the formula ##STR18## where G.sub.1 is the residue of a diisocyanate or polyisocyanate free of amino, aliphatic hydroxyl, or aliphatic thiol, or other groups which interfere with cationic polymerization.
