Abstract
The heat content of trioxane fuel is increased by the addition of dialkyl ethers of alkanediols such as 1,2-dimethoxyethane or 1,1-diethoxyethane.

A trioxane-based solid fuel having improved heat content comprising a mixture of a solid fuel consisting essentially of trioxane and an additive to enhance the heat content of said trioxane selected from the dialkyl ethers of alkanediols wherein each of said alkyl ether groups contains 1 to 6 carbon atoms and the alkanediol contains 2 to 12 carbon atoms.
