Abstract
A pyrone-3-carboxamide compound of the formula (I): ##STR1## in which R.sub.1 is an alkyl group, and R.sub.2 is an alkyl group or a halogen atom, which is useful as a medicine and an agricultural chemical or an intermediate thereof.

A pyrone-3-carboxamide compound of the formula:
- ##STR9## wherein R1 is an alkyl group;
- and one of R3 and R4 is an alkyl group or a halogen atom and the other is a hydrogen atom.
