Abstract
A room temperature dyeable polyamide fiber with low spherulites containing 1-6% nylon 6, 94-99% nylon 66 and 0.001-2% of a highly reactive metal, preferably calcium and the process for making the fiber are disclosed.
Claims1
A polyamide fiber consisting essentially of 1-6% nylon, 6, 94-99% nylon 66 and 0.001-2% of an inorganic metal salt, wherein said inorganic metal salt is calcium acetate and characterized by a cold dye rate of greater than 1000 after steam heatsetting at 132.degree. C. and a spherulite rating of 1.
