Abstract
A solution of L-ascorbic acid and a solution of para amino benzoic acid are mixed and the mixture evaporated to permit recovery of a solid compound. The compound is administered to a host to reduce thrombotic tendencies.

A mixture of esters of para amino benzoic acid and ascorbic acid.
A mixture of esters of para amino benzoic acid and ascorbic acid produced by reacting para nitrobenzoyl chloride with ascorbic acid in a solvent of pyridine or triethanolamine to obtain nitro esters, isolating the nitro esters, and reducing the nitro groups with zinc, hydrochloric acid, or lithium aluminum borohydride to obtain the mixture of esters.
