Abstract
The present invention relates to novel oxazolinone compounds and a method for the preparation thereof. These compounds are useful intermediates in the preparation of cinnamamide insecticides and acaricides.
Claims12
A compound having the formula:
- ##STR13## wherein R.sub.1 is CF.sub.3 CH.sub.2 O, CF.sub.3 O, CF.sub.3, CF.sub.2 HS, CF.sub.2 HO, RSO.sub.3, R--CO--NH or CHY.sub.2 CF.sub.2 O;
- Y is F, Cl or Br;
- R is C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 alkyl and R.sub.3 is H, Cl, F, C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 alkyl, C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 alkoxy or CN.
