Abstract
Compounds of formula I ##STR1## wherein R is --COOCH.sub.3, --COOC.sub.2 H.sub.5 or methyl, R.sub.1 is --COOR.sub.3, R.sub.2 is hydrogen, methyl or ethyl and R.sub.3 is C.sub.1 -C.sub.22 alkyl, are suitable for stabilizing organic polymers, in particular chlorinated thermoplastics, against the influence of heat and/or light.
Claims15
A compound of formula I ##STR13## wherein R is --COOCH.sub.3, --COOC.sub.2 H.sub.5 or methyl, R.sub.1 is --COOR.sub.3, R.sub.2 is hydrogen, methyl or ethyl and R.sub.3 is C.sub.1 -C.sub.22 alkyl with the proviso that when R.sub.2 is hydrogen, R and R.sub.1 are not both --COOC.sub.2 H.sub.5.
A stabilized composition which comprises
- (a) an organic polymer, and
- (b) 0.01 to 5% by weight, based on the stabilized polymer, of at least one compound of formula I ##STR16## wherein R is --COOCH.sub.3, --COOC.sub.2 H.sub.5 or methyl, R.sub.1 is --COOR.sub.3, R.sub.2 is hydrogen, methyl or ethyl and R.sub.3 is C.sub.1 -C.sub.22 alkyl.
