Abstract
4H-Pyrido[2,3-d][1,3]oxazin-4-one derivatives of the formula ##STR1## where Y is oxygen or sulfur and R is phenyl which is unsubstituted or substituted by halogen, haloalkyl, haloalkoxy, haloalkylmercapto, haloalkylsulfinyl or haloalkylsulfonyl, are used for controlling undesirable plant growth.
Claims4
A process for combatting the growth of unwanted plants, wherein the plants or the soil are treated with a herbicidally effective amount of a 4H-pyrido[2,3-d][1,3]-oxazin-4-one derivative of the formula Ia ##STR10## where Y is oxygen or sulfur and R is phenyl which is unsubstituted or o-, m- or p-substituted by halogen, C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -haloalkyl, C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -haloalkoxy, C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -haloalkylmercapto, C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -haloalkylsulfinyl or C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -haloalkylsulfonyl.
