Abstract
A vaccine for the immunization of mammals against Lyme borreliosis (Lyme disease) is disclosed which contains an effective amount of inactivated Borrelia burgdorferi spirochetes dispersed in a physiologically-acceptable, non-toxic liquid vehicle.

A vaccine comprising an immunogenic amount of inactivated Borrelia burgdorferi spirochetes dispersed in a physiologically-acceptable, non-toxic liquid vehicle, which amount is effective to immunize a susceptible mammal against Lyme borreliosis.
