Abstract
Water-dispersible synthetic fiber of scalloped-oval cross-section to promote dispersibility, and so better uniformity, softer feel and more opacity to the resulting wet-laid fabrics.

Water-dispersible polyester fiber provided with a water-dispersing coating in sufficient amount to render the fiber water-dispersible, characterized in that the fibers are of scalloped-oval cross-section.
