Abstract
A crosslinking agent constituted by a cyclodextrin clathrate compound of a compound having isocyanate group(s). This crosslinking agent is stable at room temperature and very readily initiates crosslinking. The crosslinking agent is prepared by reacting a compound having isocyanate group(s) with cyclodextrin at 65.degree. C. or below in water, and recovering the clathrate compound from the water.

A crosslinking agent comprising a cyclodextrin clathrate compound comprising cyclodextrin having included therein a compound having isocyanate groups.
A process for the preparation of a crosslinking agent comprising mixing a compound having isocyanate groups with cyclodextrin at a temperature of 65.degree. C. or below in water to form a cyclodextrin clathrate compound having isocyanate groups and recovering the clathrate compound thus formed from the water.
