Abstract
A process for producing silicon tetrafluoride by hydrolysis of gases containing silicon fluoride, the hydrolysate being reacted with sodium fluoride, potassium fluoride and/or barium fluoride and the reaction product obtained decomposed thermally, thereby forming silicon tetrafluoride.
Claims2
A process for producing silicon tetrafluoride comprising hydrolyzing gases containing silicon fluorine, reacting the hydrolysate with a member selected from the group consisting of sodium fluoride, potassium fluoride and barium fluoride and thermally decomposing the reaction product thus obtained thereby forming silicon tetrafluoride
