Combination diaper training pant for children and adults

A two-piece universal washable combination diaper/training pant for infants, children and adults, comprising:

• (a) an outer water-resistant portion having formed at each opposite end thereof elasticized pockets for receiving the ends of a separate inner padding, both of the elasticized pockets being formed by a plurality of sewn gathered elastic means fixedly attached to each end and to near the ends and by turning the gathered ends down to the area near the ends to form the pockets, the gathered portions of the diaper/tranining pant in the area of the gathered elastic means adding a distinctive appearing decorative feature to the outer portion;
• the opposite sides of the outer portion also having sewn therein gathered elastic means for forming the leg openings for the combination;
• the gathered openings adding functional features to the outer portion;
• the combination of the gathered pocket portion and the gathered leg openings making the two-piece universal diaper/training pant functional as well as having a more desirable outer appearance, thereby being more desirable to the user;
• and
• (b) a separate removable water-absorbing inner padding positioned partly within the two pockets and within the combination.
