A process and apparatus for producing a homogeneous and highly transparent sheet or film from a mixture of a plurality of components which comprises mixing the combined reaction components and depositing the reaction mixture on a molding substrate where the reaction is carried out in a layer thereon, wherein the combined reaction components are mixed, first, in a static mixer and, immediately thereafter, in a dynamic mixer. The invention can be advantageously applied to the manufacture of polyurethane sheets which can be employed in laminated glass sheets.
A process for producing a homogeneous and highly transparent sheet or film from a mixture of a plurality of components, which comprises mixing the combined reaction components and depositing said mixture on a molding substrate where the reaction is carried out in a layer thereon, wherein the combined reaction components are mixed, first, in a static mixer and, immediately thereafter, in a dynamic mixer, and wherein the combined reaction components are passed for a distance through the static mixer sufficient to achieve only a premixing and without an increase in temperature, and immediately thereafter, the statically premixed reaction mixture is fed to a dynamic mixer, wherein sufficient mixing is effected to obtain the requirement degree homogeneity.
